Temple A-ma Macau 媽閣廟
The temple existed even before the appearance of the city itself. It consists of the Gate Pavilion, Memorial Arch, Prayer Hall, Benevolence Hall, Guanyin Hall and Zhengjiao Chanlin (Buddhist Pavilion). The many pavilions, which
were intended to glorify various deities, are an excellent example of traditional Chinese religious syncretism, represented by Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism and the beliefs of local peoples.
