Macao Museum 澳門博物館
The Macau Museum is located in downtown Macau, China. It is located in a mountain fortress that was built by the Jesuits in the 17th century. Later, on April 18, 1998, the Macau Museum was opened here. The museum’s exhibition includes a huge collection of exhibits that will tell you about the history and culture of Macau.
The Macau Museum is now included in the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List. Each of the three floors of the museum is dedicated to a separate exposition of the cultural and historical heritage of the region. Exhibits on the history of Macau, religion and culture of the two civilizations are on display on the ground floor. The second floor will be dedicated to traditions and folk art. On the third floor of the museum you will see exhibits of modern art.
On the 15th of each month, the Macau Museum is absolutely free to visit.
Macau Museum: 10:00 – 18:00, the last session starts at 17:30 (closed on Monday, open on holidays).
