City Park on the hill Mong Há

City Park on the hill Mong Há

City Park on the hill Mong Há
The Mong Há Fortress, located on Mong Há Hill in the northern part of Macau, was built relatively recently, in anticipation of the Chinese invasion after the Anglo-Chinese War of 1841. The construction was completed in 1866, and the fortress was actively used until the 1960s, after which it was abandoned. Today there is a park with flower beds, grassy slopes and alleys adjacent to the walls of the old fortress. People from nearby neighborhoods come to the park to find a quiet, secluded place to relax and enjoy the views of the northern part of the city.
