The fort was previously located right on the shore. Next to it is the Wharf of the Taipa Ponte Da Taipa
The Taipa Fort was built in 1847 and initially served as the summer residence of the Governor of Macau.
The island of Taipa was not considered Portuguese territory at all until 1847, but they voluntarily came and claimed the territory as their own.
I was here in 2025 and was surprised that there is no museum here, but in general everything is closed and there is zero information.
There is only the Macau Scout office, where they sell a strange souvenir.
And there is also an elegant cafe, but apparently it has been closed for a long time.
