The Garden of the Carmelites – Taipa municipal garden
Next to the Church of Our Lady of Carmel, on a hill overlooking the village of Taipa and the old Taipa Praia, there is a garden decorated in a regular European style. The garden has a vine-covered gazebo with fountains and stone benches, manicured flower beds and winding paths leading to a small pavilion with an observation deck. From the park, along a zigzag road surrounded by low relief walls, you can walk to the old beach, where the Taipa House Museum is now located, which was previously one of the reconstructed mansions of the 1920s.
