The Russian Center in Macau has reopened
On October 24, 2019, the Russian Center of the University of Macau reopened after a long break. In honor of the reopening of the center, a solemn ceremony was held, which was attended by the Consul General of Russia in Hong Kong and Macau, Igor Sagitov, as well as representatives of the university administration.
Professor Li Shen, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Macau, took over the post of director of the newly opened center. The coordinator of the center is Professor Michael Sher, author of the book “Where Empires Collided: Relations between Russia and the USSR with Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.”
Russian Russian Center’s first event, a lecture dedicated to the Russian avant–garde, was held on October 29, 2019.
