

St.Dominic’s Church Macau 玫瑰堂
This church was founded in 1587 by three Spanish Dominican priests who came from Acapulco (Mexico). Its history is closely connected with the brotherhood of monks of the Holy Rosary. It was here
that the first Portuguese newspaper on Chinese soil, The Chinese Bee, was published on September 12, 1822. The bell tower at the back of the building has been converted into a small Museum of Sacred Art, which now houses a collection of 300 exhibits.
