



Lou Kau Mansion Macau 盧家大屋
Presumably built in 1889. This mansion was the home of Lou Kau, a prominent Chinese merchant who owned a large property in the city. The location of this majestic old Chinese house in the center of the old “Christian city”, close to Senado Square and the cathedral, reflects the culturally diverse appearance of this urban area. The Lu Kau Mansion is a two-story building made of traditional gray brick with a courtyard. This mansion has the architectural characteristics of a traditional Chinese residential building.
I was here in March 2024.
It is located in the historical center, close to the Grand Lisboa and the ruins of St. Paul’s Cathedral.
