Mandarin’s House Macau 鄭家大屋
This building was built in 1881 and represents the traditional Chinese chambers of the prominent Chinese nobleman Zheng Guangying.
It is an elegant estate in a traditional Chinese style with a number of living quarters and gardens. It was built for an official who runs a Chinese customs office.
The traditional Chinese building consists of several rooms and courtyards, in which elements of both Chinese and Western architecture are noticeable. For example, gray bricks on the background of arched decorations, as well as Chinese wooden lattices in Indian frames.
